Elizabeth Yohannes was born in Chicago to Eritrean heritage and raised in the Detroit Metro Area, where she developed an early curiosity for learning, creativity, and community. She attended Oak Montessori and Cranbrook Schools before earning her Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Howard University, graduating Summa Cum Laude as a Laureate Scholar in the Annenberg Honors Program with an induction into the Lambda Pi Eta Honor Society.
While at Howard University, Elizabeth was introduced to the entertainment and media industry under the mentorship of Scotty Beats and Grammy Award winning producer Rich Harrison. During this time, she gained firsthand exposure to professional creative and production environments connected to projects involving prominent artists such as Destiny’s Child, Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, Toni Braxton, Kelly Rowland, Christina Milian, and Amerie. She further developed her understanding of media, branding, and storytelling through experiences at major outlets and record labels including Def Jam, Elektra, BET, CBS Radio, ABC TV, and Radio One, as well as supporting creative initiatives connected to notable figures within the entertainment industry.
Following graduation, Elizabeth co-founded Atlanta’s African Americans in Media while cultivating relationships with complementary professional organizations including American Women in Radio and Television and the National Association of Black Female Executives in Media and Entertainment. She later launched and led multiple ventures, including Yohannes Media Group and Where 2 Go! Worldwide, consulting with Fortune 100 companies as well as small and mid-sized businesses across branding, marketing, and growth initiatives.
After becoming a mother, Elizabeth’s daughters, London and Lennox, became the catalyst for a deeper focus on early childhood development, wellness, and education. She pursued advanced certifications through Harvard University, Stanford University, and the International Sports Sciences Association, expanding her expertise in early childhood development, nutrition, and holistic family wellness. This evolution led to the creation of programming designed to support children and families through practical, real-life learning experiences that nurture both mind and body.
Those efforts ultimately inspired H.E.A.L. World School, a learning environment rooted in the belief that education is one of the most powerful tools a child can receive. At H.E.A.L. World School, the focus is on providing foundational resources for young learners while creating opportunities for growth through hands-on experiences, exploration, and exposure to diverse ideas, cultures, and pathways.
Elizabeth is driven by a passion to create, empower, and educate, and she is deeply grateful to build this journey alongside London, Lennox, the families involved, and the businesses that support the mission. Through H.E.A.L. World School, she hopes to foster a vibrant community where families can connect, support one another, and help children discover their passions, develop confidence, and unlock their full potential.
